How did you do it?

This is a project that was made in order to help kids feel safe and happy when walking to school alone.

I drew a sketch of how I wanted the alebrijes to look and the position their bodies were in. After i uploaded the picture to adobe illustrator and started to trace it. I looked up pictures of wings to trace and put on the alebrijes. Also I looked up an outline drawing of kids walking to school as a reference.

What else would you like your audience to notice?

I would like my audience to notice that the alebrijes have matching symbols on their bodies.

What did you create? Why?

I decided to create this because I thought since alebrijes are known to be there to guide and protect you. I wanted the kids to know that they are being protected and guided by their own alebrije so that they feel safe when walking to school.
